East Cardiff School of Performance Art creates Theatre Makers, co-creators, writers, performers, directors and designers.
The times below are for the September term.
10:00 am - 11:30 am
Suitable for ages 5 - 8
Nurturing their energy and imagination, developing collaboration and team work. Children learn how to share ideas and support the ideas of others to create their own performances.
10:00 am - 11:30 am
Suitable for ages 9 - 12
Building skills of co-creation. Children develop confidence in using their voices and physicality to tell stories from their point of view.
4:00pm - 5:30pm
Suitable for ages 6 - 9
Building skills of co-creation and nurturing their energy and imagination, developing collaboration and team work. Children develop confidence in using their voices and physicality to tell stories from their point of view.
5:45pm - 7:15pm
Suitable for ages 10 - 14
Navigating transitions, developing an understanding of the purpose of focus and rehearsal through games and practical application of skills. Creating pieces that are from their own point of view, engaging them in balanced discussion, truly learning how to give space and respect to each other.
4pm-4:45pm
Suitable for Reception to year 3
Beginner's introduction to the style of Hip-Hop Dance. Using games, group work and taking dancers own choreography ideas.
5pm - 6pm
Suitable for ages 9+
Introduction to the style of Hip-Hop. Creating foundations that can be used in choreography and free style. A style you can take, dismantle and perform in a way that is true to you. It is ever-changing, evolving and person lead.
It is community, empowerment and self-expression; offering an environment of positive energy.
4:00pm - 5:30pm
Suitable for ages 4- 7
A new beginners class nurturing their energy and imagination, developing collaboration and team work. Children learn how to share ideas and support the ideas of others to create their own performances.
6:00pm - 7:30pm
A class specifically for Neuro-divergent Adults 18+
Creating a safe accessible space, empowering individuals to share creative ideas in their own way. Developing an alternative sense of ensemble. Creating their own performances on topics and interests of their own. Facilitated by Neuro-divergent practitioners
All classes take place at The Beacon Centre, Harrison Drive, St Mellons
